Emma

Our beautiful Flatcoated Retriever Emma left us on 29 August 2009, aged 11 years, after a year long battle with a brain tumour. We cherish the precious memories we have of our life with Emma, and will miss her ever present loving, joyous and mischievous spirit. Throughout her illness, Emma's zeal and passion for life and those she loved continued until her final day, and we did all we could to support her until the time came she was ready to go. I learnt so much during Emma's final year - what true and unconditional love is, what real dedication is - and I learnt the painful reality of having to accept what I cannot change. Most importantly, I experienced the most amazing bond between two species that can only come about through adversity, and the knowledge of the heartache that is to come. Each day in that knowledge was precious and I feel blessed and privileged to have had the opportunity to care for Emma when she needed me most. What a gift to have been able to repay her just a little for all she gave to me. Thank you Emma, for teaching me so many lessons and for the wonderful 11 years you shared with us. You have taken a piece of my heart, and a piece of your heart remains buried deep in what remains of mine for eternity.
Cleo

Our precious Cleo left us at the grand old age of 19 years on 4 January 2008. Cleo found us as a tiny kitten on Christmas Eve in 1988 and has been an adored member of our family ever since. Always feisty, independent, spirited and vocal, Cleo loved life and caused much mischief in her younger days. Never a lap-cat, she tolerated affection on her own terms, although as she aged she became more inclined to enjoy a fuss. Thank you Cleo for finding and choosing us all those years ago, and for giving us much laughter and fond memories. We miss your constant presence, and falling asleep at night to the sound of your purr. Farewell sweet-pea, you will be loved and remembered forever in our hearts.
Lucy
Our dear Lucy left us suddenly on 5 January 2007 after almost 16 years with us. Always smiling, despite a less than ideal start in life, Lucy grew to be the most wonderful natured and tolerant dog. Lucys strong spirit and zest for life shone through until her final hour. She gave us many years of joy, companionship and unconditional love. We are privileged to have shared her life and to have learnt from the many lessons she came to share with us. Her passing leaves a huge hole in our lives but her memory will live on forever in our hearts. Farewell our sweet and precious golden girl.
Mitzi

My sweet childhood cat, and my inspiration for gaining knowledge and a qualification in feline behaviour. Always in my memories.
Karma

A dog with a beautiful spirit that suffered so much at the hands of others. Sleep well my angel and know that because of you, I will never stop the fight against animal cruelty.
Zoe

Our dear little foster kitten who's adventurous spirit unfortunately led to her demise as a result of an accident. She gave us 7 weeks of fun and laughter we will never forget, and left us with a lifetime of memories.
